
The Beaver Basketball teams wrapped up their 2019 schedules with a sweep of Minnesota-Crookston at the Bemidji State Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.
Women…Bemidji State 79, UMC 57
In the day’s first game, the Bemidji State Women cruised by 22 points over the Golden Eagles 79-57. The Beavers took a 10 point lead after the 1st quarter and cruised from there. Brooklyn Bachmann, Trinity Myer, and Rachael Heitolla had 13 points each, while Taylor Bray added 12.
Later on the Bemidji State Men avenged an earlier loss in Crookston. The Beavers were up by 1 and added another 8 to lead in the 2nd half. Nick Wagner led 6 Beavers in double figures with 17 points. Logan Bader had 16 points, while Zach Baumgartner had 15. Griffin Chase had 14 points, Derek Thompson had 12 points and Max Bjorklund had 11.
The Beaver men are now 7-3 on the year and are 4-2 in the NSIC. The Women are 6-4 on the year and 3-3 in the NSIC. They’ll be back in action the first weekend of January with NSIC play at UMD and SCSU.
