Fishin’ Paul Bunyan Country has a big show for the weekend. It starts with Joel Nelson of Joel Nelson Outdoors. He’s from Cannon Falls and does a lot of his fishing on the Mississippi. He tells Kev Jackson about river fishing and similarities and differences of lake fishing. He also spends much of his time traveling and fishing Minnesota lakes so gets us caught up on the Brainerd Lakes bite, his most recent excursion. We even talk a little turkey hunting.
Meanwhile, Jason Boser of Fishing Fever Guide Service and MN Fishing Pros, gets Kev caught up on Lake Winni and other lakes down Highway 2 East. Winni’s bite has been solid and surprisingly stable despite really hot weather. He thinks things will only get better on Winni in the next few years.
And Steve Scepaniak of Predator Guide Service is always happy to talk Mille Lacs. He talks from the boat where he was guiding a group of South Carolinians on their first ever muskie trip.
