Mike “Cold Front” Kurre spent much of his career in the DNR working on mentorship programs. His goal was to get more kids involved on the water and in the woods. His goal was to make it more than a once a year experience. He’s now retired, but is watching Covid-19, ironically, help his cause. With most other activities and events cancelled this summer, record number of fishing licenses were sold…to adults AND youth. Mike discussed with Kev Jackson what we should be looking at doing next. In addition, he discusses the state record fish program, another aspect of his career, and tells us how the fish have been biting for him. Take a listen:
