FISHIN’ PAUL BUNYAN COUNTRY: Take A Kid Fishing Essay Contest & State Of The Fishery Pt 2 with Henry Drewes

Covid-19 is wreaking havoc with Bemidji’s Take A Kid Fishing Event for a second straight year, but the Take A Kid Fishing crew is working tirelessly to get kids fishing. Since they have to wait one more year until the annual June event returns, they’ve decided to have a Take A Kid Fishing Essay Contest. The theme of the essay is “Why I Would Like To Go Fishing”. Essays must be a minimum of 500 words and the winners get a LIFETIME fishing license valued at $469. There will be one winner for each age of kids that can be part of the Take A Kid Fishing event…10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 years old. Any kids from any school in the Bemidji Take A Kid Fishing area can take part. Christine Regas of Take A Kid Fishing has all the details on today’ show.

Plus, Henry Drewes returns for Part 2 of our season opening “State Of The Fishery”.
