Bemidji girls tennis is heading to the state Class AA team tournament after winning a second consecutive Section 8AA title, and senior Savannah Haugen will also compete as an individual thanks to her victory in the 8AA singles competition. She recapped the weekend and her tennis background Thursday on High Noon.
The Lumberjacks and Haugen have also received their matchups for the Class AA team and singles tournaments next week. Bemidji has been unseeded in the team competition and matched with #2 Rochester Mayo for a 12pm quarterfinal game on Tuesday at the University of Minnesota’s Baseline Tennis Center. Haugen will square off with Annika Munson of Mahtomedi in the singles competition’s round of 16 on Thursday.
