Lumberjack Boys Cross Country Takes Title At Greenwood Friday

The Bemidji High School Boys Cross Country Team topped the Moorhead Spuds and Brainerd Warriors in a meet at Greenwood Golf Course Friday. The Jacks finished 21 points ahead of the Spuds due to their strong depth. Bemidji was led by Nathan Alto’s 2nd place finish, while Nick Youso was 3rd. Ethan Maish also cracked the top 5 with a 4th place showing.

On the girls side, Mia Hoffman took 2nd, just :00.3 seconds shy of victory. Addison Maish took 3rd and the Lumberjacks, as a team, finished 3rd.

The Jacks third race of the year will be Thursday at 4pm in Alexandria against the Cardinals and Willmar. The following Thursday they’ll be back at Greenwood, hosting Sauk Rapids-Rice and St. Cloud Apollo.
