The 2020 Fall Broadcast Schedule for the Lumberjack Radio Network has officially been released, with ten scheduled regular season soccer matches and the first tennis broadcast in the history of KBUN’s Bemidji High School coverage.
All Bemidji High School fall sports programs have joined the Central Lakes Conference for this season to allow for aligned scheduling during the coronavirus pandemic. The schedule has arranged for almost all competitions to take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays this fall.
The schedule begins with Bemidji and Rocori meeting in girls tennis on Tuesday in a historic broadcast for KBUN Sportsradio and the Lumberjack Radio Network. Former BHS tennis coach Mark Fodness will join Joel Hoover on the call from the Bemidji High School Tennis Courts beginning at 2:15pm on 104.5 and kbunsportsradio.com.
Bemidji boys soccer returns to the pitch following a runner-up finish in Section 8A last season with their home opener against Sauk Rapids-Rice on Thursday. Coverage begins at 6:45pm.
The Bemidji girls soccer program is coming off winning a third-straight Section 8A title last season, and their first broadcasted match will be at home against Willmar on Thursday, Sep. 10. Their rescheduled game with Sauk Rapids-Rice will also be added to the schedule if no broadcast conflicts arise on the chosen date.
Stay tuned to KBUN-FM 104.5, kbunsportsradio.com, and KBUN Sportsradio on Facebook for any changes to the schedule throughout the season.
