Minnesota Golf Courses, Outdoor Activities Allowed To Reopen Saturday

Governor Tim Walz announced a new executive order Friday morning that will permit golf courses and driving ranges in Minnesota to reopen Saturday morning. Shooting ranges, bait shops, public and private parks and trails, marinas, and game farms are also among the outdoor facilities that will be allowed to reopen across the state under safe outdoor recreation guidelines.

According to a news release from the governor, these entities will all be allowed to open or reopen on Saturday morning at 5am. Visitors must continue to maintain the recommended six feet of social distancing and not gather in large groups.

Multiple other outdoor entities will still remain closed, including campgrounds and guided fishing. Dispersed camping, charter boats, boat launches, equipment rental, recreational equipment retail, and dispersed camping all will stay closed.
