Sports Played Growing Up: Basketball, Marching Band

Favorite Sports Teams: Twins, Vikings, Wild, Timberwolves, Lynx, and any Two Harbors or Thief River Falls teams (when they’re not playing the Jacks!)

Favorite Movies: The Wizard of Oz (1939), Space Jam, Pride of the Yankees, old Disney movies, Hallmark movies

Favorite TV Shows: Get Smart, I Dream of Jeannie, The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, Gilligan’s Island

Favorite Sports Memory: The 1992-93 Hillcrest Lutheran Academy boys basketball team’s run to the Section 8 championship game (featuring two exchange students with minimal-to-no prior basketball experience).

Why Do You Enjoy This Job?: To be able to cover Bemidji High School athletics in a full and consistent manner (and best in all of northern Minnesota) is special. All of us are passionate about sports, and Bemidji is a hub in north central Minnesota. The people I work with, and the passion and knowledge they have is readily apparent in all of our broadcasts…and we all get along famously!  This is just about as good as it gets, outside of time with my family (wife, two sons, and two granddaughters)!
