Backed by a pair of second period goals and another outstanding game from goaltender Nettie Kimble, Bemidji girls hockey claimed its sixth win in seven games with a 3-1 road triumph against River Lakes on Friday evening at the River Lakes Civic Arena in Richmond.

Bemidji wrestling kicked off pool play at the 2020 Rick Lee Duals with three victories Friday at the Bemidji High School Fieldhouse. The Lumberjacks opened with a 63-12 win against Cambridge-Isanti before topping Pierz 67-9. Pool play finished with the Jacks winning 36-24 over Waconia.

The Bemidji State Mens Hockey team began the Beaver Sports Weekend with a rare Thursday night game at Alabama-Huntsville.

The Lumberjack Nordic Skiiers had a strong outing at Thursday’s Detroit Lakes Invitational, including a first place finish by Nick Youso, his fourth of the year.

The 16th ranked Lumberjack wrestlers kept rolling Thursday night with a sweep of Sartell-St. Stephen and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at the Bemidji High School Fieldhouse. Bemidji looks to keep it going when they host the 16 team Rick Lee Duals Friday and Saturday, and you’ll hear all the action on the Lumberjack Radio Network.

Two goals in the opening minute of the game and four in the first period launched East Grand Forks to a 5-0 win over Bemidji boys hockey on Thursday evening at the Bemidji Community Arena in the two teams’ second meeting this season.
