Jared Shypkoski of Dickinson, ND was fishing a few weekends ago with a friend and their kids. He decided to make one more run before they called it a day and said he was going to get the state record. And so he did. Fishing on Lake Oahe, he reeled in a 16 pound, 6 ounce beast and now lays claim to North Dakota’s state record. He tells us the details of his amazing day. Jared has fished walleyes nationwide and discusses where North Dakota ranks in his mind.
